To obtain a regular temporary rental contract in Italy, it is mandatory to apply for a valid Italian Tax id Code in order to sign the rental agreement. If you need help with your tax id code, we suggest if you are a student to contact your university; if you are company employee to contact your company office or, go to the website of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, tax id code section (Agenzia delle Entrate sezione codice fiscale). You can also apply for one by contacting your local Consulate, no later than two-week prior check-in. If you can't get one on time a charge will be applied.
